Forest Lawn Memorial Park
Glendale, California

Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located in Glendale near Los Angeles, is probably one of the most beautiful cemeteries on the face of the earth.

Dr. Hubert Eaton, founder, envisioned different kind of cemetery. A place of beauty where the living could come and enjoy great works of art while providing a peaceful and dignified resting place for their dearly departed.

I have been fortunate enough to get a few photos of celebrity crypts located in the Freedom Mausoleum and some other celebrity grave sites.

Unfortunately, many of the interment sites I really would love to visit, let alone photograph, are located behind locked gates in private gardens, or in areas of the Great Mausoleum that are forbidden to the public.

To me and many of my colleagues, this makes no sense, since, these people spent a great deal of energy to be known, recognized and, dare I say, worshiped by the public who made them wealthy and famous.

I hope that you are able to visit in person some time, but be WARNED - CELEBRITY GRAVE HUNTERS AND CAMERAS ARE NOT WELCOME!

Just a few of the many Celebrities interred at Forest Lawn Glendale...
